To analyze the data passing through an Ethernet and be prepared for possible cyber-attacks or process analysis, using an Ethernet interface, which can be easily used to provide a copy of the information to the third system during a standard communication, may be the best solution. To this propose, the T2-EMX4 system is an ideal efficient system. This system is used to tap the ethernet. In the figure, port 7 is taped to port 6 optically or electrically, and port 5 is taped electronically, and a copy of the data passed through these ports is sent on ports 1,2, and 3.
• All ports are 1Gbps Ethernets.
• By default, ports 6 and 7 are set electrically. The system door should be open to use the optical connection, and the jumper beside the port should be placed on opt mode. 
• In this mode, the system has no console or DIP switches setups. Indeed, if it is needed, it can be added to customize.
